The group formed in January 2010 with the aim of improving the Chapeltown area and making it a better place to live.
We are proud of what we have achieved in Chapeltown, with summer 2011 seeing the town centre full of flowers and looking so much better for it. We are now looking ahead to autumn/winter, starting to remove bedding plants and trim back perennials, with lots of bulb planting ahead.
The Millennium Garden (near the Newton Hall) must be Chapeltown's best kept secret but we are trying to put it on the map. The group have secured some funding to improve and develop this lovely little garden. We are doing a survey during September to find out what local people want to use the park for and what they want to see in it. Click on this link or paste it into your browser http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZD3LZ3F . Please give us your views and pass the link on to others so they can too.
Summer events: We had a stall at the opening of the fantastic new playground at Chapeltown Park. We had some lovely feedback about our work, sold some spring bulbs and some of our new cotton shopping bags. A very successful few hours despite the rain.
We need volunteers! We have achieved so much with a small dedicated group of volunteers - we need more help!
- If you care about Chapeltown and want to give an hour of your time now and then, or have gardening or other skills to share - we need you!
- If you would like to make new friends, to have more links to your local community and more say in what happens here - we can help you!

Last but not least, our partners:
Ronseal donated materials for the planters, made by Ecclesfield School.
Lisa Shaw podiatry and GEO stationers have sponsored planters.
Many local businesses keep us going with a welcome cup of coffee, including Cafe revolution, Blundells and Staniforths.
Phil of www.Phil hirstgardens.co.uk has helped us with planting ideas.
The Waggon & Horses pub have been fantastic, letting us use their outside tap to water the precinct, we could not have kept this areas watered without them.
